My primary form of divination is Tarot and it's probably my favorite due to the predictable structure of it. My first deck was a black and white mini printout of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck that I cut out and glued onto slightly thicker paper. This was sometime near 2016 and I've been reading ever since. My first "official" deck was a year or two later.
I'm really picky about everything I enjoy, but I'm constantly on the lookout for new decks that spark my interest. I've grown an alright collection over the years but I tend to stick to very few for regular use.
I'm a guidebook girlie. For reasons I can only suspect, I get my intuitive interpretations from reading a detailed guidebook over looking at the card imagery lol, so I tend to favor decks that have guidebooks beyond a few keywords.

| The Starman Tarot by Davide de Angelis | My favorite deck. David Bowie was my first special interest ever and de Angelis, having worked with him, did well to capture his variety of weird. I particularly favor it for the guidebook. It's a large guidebook and each card gets a rundown of the inspirations de Angelis drew from. I'm very in sync with this deck, picked it up extremely quickly, and get my clearest channelings(proper term?) from it. It does have a hint of a New Age taste, but it's so overshadowed by Everything Else that it doesn't get in the way of anything. |

| FFXIV Deck by Tksnim | This deck is Major Arcana only. I really like the artist's depiction and choice of FFXIV characters for each Major Arcana as well as the art itself. I unfortunately haven't found much use in regular reading for these cards yet, but I like to occassionally pull a "Which character am I?" question to them :) |

| Tarot of Pagan Cats by Lola Airaghi, Magdelina Messina | My first "official" deck. I spent a lot of trial and error and frustration learning to read cards with this deck. Since I had acquired more decks, I haven't read with this one in many years, so I can't speak much on it. If I remember correctly, this deck was more heavily a RWS reskin. I liked the cats on the cards though and I appreciate that it was this one I spent most of my time learning to read with. |

| Welcome to Night Vale Tarot by Jessica Hayworth | No guidebook for this one, but that surprisingly hasn't deterred me from connecting to this deck. I love the art. Hayworth made this deck in mind of something that would exist within the WTNV universe and I think it is successfully weird and unsettling in that regard. I still need RWS interpretations to jump off from on cards I'm less familiar with, but the card imagery usually gives me enough to work with. |
