The bulk of my practice lies in Spirit Work. I spent many years working/interacting with Archangels, mainly for companionship but also to learn about how things work beyond the physical. The last few years, I've interacted much less but will occasionally ask for mercy or grace.

Within the last year, I've begun working with/worshipping Death.

How It Started

To preface this, I am not Christian nor do I really believe in a Christian God. I personally struggle with labels in all regards to self-identity, but something close to my beliefs would be a combination of Polytheism, Pantheism, and Animism, as the most prominent influences.

I was raised Catholic within my family and within a Christian-dominated society. And while I realized very young that they wanted conformity rather than understanding—and thus decided anything they said was not worth my time—I was still influenced by their ideals. This lead to me in my early teens seeking out Catholisism on my own terms. For some months, I prayed nightly to God and then eventually Angels (lmao blasphemy) as I had a hot-and-cold relationship with God and never really believed in "Him." I mostly prayed talking about my day or asking things to be better. Within the year, I went through a spiritual awakening and both heard a response, as well as, discovered the otherkin community. This essentially sealed my fate and I began delving into regular contact.

Communication

My primary form of communication with Spirits is through tarot. Secondary, and used much less often, is through clair-senses within astral travel. In my early days, I spent a LOT of time channeling Archangels or other entities as I did not fully feel confident in tarot for communication until years later. This is something I no longer do, partially for cost of energy, partially for loss of practice.

Current/Future Practice

My current practice within spirit work is mainly companionship and rebuilding my skills (the clairs, energy sensing, astral traveling). Eventually, I'd like to expand my personal cosmology and learn more about the Otherworlds; how it functions, how it connects to our physical realm, what life looks like there, what death looks like there as some examples.

Lord Death has all of my attention, especially with things that aren't ready for public eyes and ears, so my practice will continue developing with Them for the far future.

In another aspect of the future, I may look into Norse Paganism again as I personally find it interesting (such that I never really forget about it for too long), but never got too far into it aside from reading some of the Prose Edda.
